Location
The city museum is located in the historic Landhaus on Pirnaischer Platz. Built between 1770 and 1775, the building originally served as a meeting place for the Saxon estates. The Municipal Gallery opened its exhibition rooms here in 2005.
Art lovers can discover sculptures by Dresden sculptors Lothar Beck, Peter Makolies, Frank Maasdorf, and Matthias Jackisch in the garden, which lend the space a special artistic atmosphere.
