Privacy policy

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you about the data we collect, process and store when you use the YOUR DRESDEN STORY platform.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet, especially by e-mail, is currently largely unsecured. It cannot be ruled out that transmitted data may be accessed and possibly even falsified by unauthorised persons.

Up-load form and e-mail contact

On the YOUR DRESDEN STORY platform, we offer users the opportunity to publish their own image and text contributions by providing personal data. The data is entered into an input mask and transmitted to us and stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The following data is collected:

  1. First name and surname
  2. User name (optional)
  3. E-mail address
  4. Telephone number (optional)

The user's consent is obtained for the processing of the data as part of the contribution upload and reference is made to this privacy policy.

Alternatively, contact can be made via the e-mail address provided. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the email will be processed. The data will not be passed on to third parties in this context. The data is used exclusively for processing the conversation.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if the user has given consent.

The processing of the user's personal data is necessary for the provision of certain content and services on this website. It serves us solely to further process the contact. If contact is made by email, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in processing the data. The other personal data processed during the sending process is used to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

Users have the option of withdrawing their consent to the processing of personal data at any time. In this case, all associated image and text contributions will also be deleted. Users should contact yourdresdenstory@museen-dresden.de for this purpose.
