The exhibition provides in-depth information and unusual insights into the Torah – into its time-honoured tradition and the process of writing it, which is bound up with both craftsmanship and ritual. It offers direct access to the practice of Torah writing and to the Five Books of Moses, situated at the intersection of religious interpretation, written culture and cultural-historical development. The exhibition demonstrates how writing establishes order and shapes meaning over long periods of time.
